Cara Silva

As CIO, Cara is responsible for the infrastructure, enterprise applications and online presence of Oregon Catholic Press, an internationally esteemed publisher of liturgical music, books and support materials.  With more than 23 years of experience in technology leadership, Cara has an extensive background managing network, data centers, enterprise systems and online properties. She is a recognized leader known for crafting the requisite strategic vision to achieve business goals. Her work has been instrumental in building diverse teams in the financial and health care industries.   Cara left Computer Science Corporation to join OCP in 2008.  She now serves the not-for-profit publisher’s mission of reaching new customers and moving the company into the digital age. At OCP, Cara leads business intelligence, digital transformation, IT governance and business continuity initiatives. One of Cara’s most recent achievements was the formation of a cross-organizational team to introduce agile/scrum practices in delivery of online advancement initiatives. She currently serves on the executive strategic planning team for OCP. Cara is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.
