Katherine Golden

As Vice President of Engineering & Enterprise Architecture at Corbis, Katherine is responsible for leading end-to-end user experience and technology for all Corbis branded sites, core systems and internal tools.  One of the most engaging and energetic leaders within Corbis,  Katherine launched the new re-branded Corbis Images site, a user friendly, highly functional global e-commerce website providing leading-edge patented technology solutions.

She is currently driving new start-up initiatives within Corbis as well as leading innovations in search, delivering open-source and visual search solutions that are targeted to dramatically increase findability.

Prior to joining Corbis, Katherine worked at AGInteractive, a subsidiary of American Greetings, where she was the Director of Applications and New Product Development.  As a leader managing multiple teams, Katherine launched over half a dozen new ideas into production, including, a website targeted at Gen Y demographics for content sharing and social networking. Her innovative work was key to the growth of the Kiwee brand, taking it from 4K unique visitors per month to over 11M per month in a matter of 1 year.  This explosive growth made the fastest growing strategic initiative at AGInteractive during that time.

In addition, Katherine spearheaded localization and globalization projects for AGInteractive, supporting over 15 different languages and multiple local payment types including local micro-payments, some of which were first in the industry.

Prior to AG, Katherine held multiple entrepreneur and leadership roles in her own start-up as well as at Manitoba Lotteries and various small businesses.

Katherine graduated from University of Windsor with great distinction (equivalent to magna-cum-laude in US) in Computer Science.
