Originally from Mexico, Laura is a well-rounded business technologist with a passion for helping organizations transform their business through process automation, innovation, data, and technology. With more than 20+ years of experience, Laura has worked with companies ranging from small to Fortune 250, across multiple industries. Laura is committed to support social good, education, STEM and health. Laura has spoken at local Middle Schools in Austin to promote STEM education.
Currently, Laura is the founder of ATX Data Rocks, she provides BI strategy and process transformation services to small companies and non-profit organizations. At Jacobs Engineering, Laura was responsible for building the Business Insights & Enterprise Architecture teams from the ground up. Before that, Laura led the Enterprise Applications and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse teams at Tokyo Electron US. While in Mexico, Laura managed the IT group at a branch of the French company, Sanofi. Laura started her career as consultant with Ernst & Young.
Laura obtained her MBA and BS in Computer Science at Monterrey Tech ITESM in Mexico. Laura is part of the CIS Texas State Board of Advisors and sits on the Innotech Advisory Counsel.
